UCI Gran Fondo World Championship Qualifiers Age Groups (Gran Fondo & Medio Fondo):
- WOMEN 19-49 GRAN FONDO
- WOMEN 50+ MEDIO FONDO
- MEN 19-59 GRAN FONDO
- MEN 60+ MEDIO FONDO
Age Categories for UCI Gran Fondo and Medio Fondo World Championships:
19-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, etc.
Age Groups Applicable to the UCI Gran Fondo World Series are defined by the rider's age on December 31st of the year of the qualifier event. Age groups applicable to the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships are defined by the rider's age on December 31st of the year of the World Championships.
- All competitors over the age of 16 can apply with parental authorization.
- Competitors over the age of 19 compete for the UCI World Series World Cup 2024.
- All professional competitors can apply, but are not competing for the UCI World Series World Cup 2024.

START OF THE GRAN FONDO AND MEDIO FONDO RACE
The race will start with the flag, which marks the beginning of timing for all participants. Timing ends when the finish line is crossed. The participant who crosses the finish line first will be the winner in their age category.

Note:
You will be able to collect your starter package with a number by presenting a valid identification document.
New competitor registration will be possible on both June 15 and 16, but only the race number will be provided, not the starter packages.
PRIZES
Gift packs and sponsor prizes might be awarded. The first 25% in each age group qualify for the World Championships. Every rider who finishes in the first 25% of their age group in the UGFWS qualifier events will be given a medal. The organizer will set up a desk where participants can collect their medals. All winners of their age group will receive an official UGFWS jersey on the podium during the award ceremony.
GENERAL RACE RULES AND REGULATIONS
The road rules of the UCI and the Serbian Cycling Federation, as well as the general rules of the UCI, apply to this event. By starting the race, riders acknowledge that they are familiar with these rules and participate at their own risk. The event organizer will not be held responsible for any third-party damage incurred by the riders. The event will be held regardless of weather conditions. The event organizer reserves the right to change the race conditions without prior notice.
RACE SAFEТY
The track will be clearly marked with a system of arrows, boards, and flags. The race will take place on a road open to traffic. Participants must comply with all applicable regulations at all times. For fairness and to prevent potential issues, participants will be immediately disqualified if caught using third-party motorized assistance outside the organization.
Safety First! We kindly ask all participants to strictly adhere to traffic regulations and pay attention to traffic signs and instructions during the race. Your safety is our priority!
EQUIPMENT
Cyclists can choose the bike of their choice (road bike, mountain bike, city bike, hybrid bike) except for time trial bikes, electric bikes, tandem bikes, manual bikes, or recumbent bikes. Wearing a helmet is mandatory throughout the entire race. Participants are free to wear the jersey of their choice in qualifying events.
COMPLAINTS
According to the rules, complaints can be filed in writing with a deposit of 3,600 RSD. Complaints about race developments can be filed within 15 minutes after the race has finished. Complaints about rankings can be filed within 15 minutes from the moment they have been published.

- Participation Confirmation: By signing this statement, I confirm that I am participating in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Serbia Novi Sad at my own risk and am aware of the risks involved. I understand that the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Serbia Novi Sad involves riding on open roads that are not fully closed to traffic and I commit to obeying all traffic regulations of the Republic of Serbia.
- Health Condition: I declare that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Serbia Novi Sad and that there are no medical conditions that could affect my safety or the safety of other participants.
- Release from Liability: I expressly release the organizers, their partners, sponsors, and all associated entities from any liability for injuries, death, property damage, or any other harm I might suffer during the event.
- Consent to Recording: I give irrevocable consent to the organizers to use my images, videos, name, voice, and other materials recorded during the event for promotional and commercial purposes without the right to compensation.
- Changes and Cancellation of the Event: I understand that the organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the event without prior notice. In such a case, a refund of the entry fee or part of it may be made at the discretion of the organizers, but this is not guaranteed.
By adhering to these General Rules and Regulations, the participant agrees to comply with all rules of the Gran Fondo Novi Sad 2024 race.
During the Gran Fondo Novi Sad 2024 race, VABK will make video, audio, and photo recordings of the event. Some of these recordings will be used for promotional purposes. By adhering to these General Rules and Regulations, participants agree that such recordings may be used to promote Gran Fondo Novi Sad 2024 under the terms and conditions stated herein, and that they are not entitled to compensation. VABK will disregard any claims resulting from the use of photographs and video recordings for promotional purposes.
The event organizer reserves the right to change the timetable and routes with prior notice on the Gran Fondo Novi Sad website, Facebook page, and the bulletin board.
ADDITIONAL NOTES AND INFORMATION
a) The Medio Fondo and Gran Fondo race routes split at the top of the second climb, lriski venac (61.4 km). Warning notices will be placed at an appropriate distance from the point where the routes diverge.
b) Challenging points on the route include:
- Left turn on descent at 32 km from wide road to narrow road
- Dangerous left bend on descent at 33.5 km
- Water drain across the whole road at 34 km
- Dangerous S bend entering Vrdnik at 38.5 km
c) The roads will be partially closed by officials. All riders on the route will ride at their own risk and are kindly asked to follow traffic regulations.
d) Feed zones and technical zones:
- Crveni Cot (27.5 km)-Gran Fondo and Medio Fondo
- lriski Venac (61.4 km)-Gran Fondo and Medio Fondo

By registering for the race, I acknowledge that my data are correct and that the event organizer may use them. I agree to receive promotional communications from the event organizer. Partial Road Closures Due to UCI Gran Fondo World Series Serbia Novi Sad
Dear fellow citizens,
We inform you that due to the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Serbia Novi Sad, which is being held in Novi Sad, there will be temporary changes in traffic.
Certain streets and roads will be closed to traffic on the day of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Serbia Novi Sad to ensure the safety of participants and spectators.
Date: 16.06.2024.
The roads that will be closed are:
- The start and finish of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Serbia Novi Sad is in Novi Sad in front of the Provincial Government on Mihajlo Pupin Boulevard.
- The route moves towards Duga Bridge, from where it turns onto Kamenički Road and goes through the entire Sremska Kamenica via Vojvode Putnika Street.
- Across Zmaj Jova Square, the route continues onto Karađorđeva Street, which then connects to Ledinački Road to Ledinci.
- Through Ledinci, it continues further on Ledinački Road through Rakovac towards Beočin on state roads 107 and 119.
- Then, via Novosadska Street (state road 119), the bypass around Beočin to the intersection of roads 119 and Fruškogorski Road to Crveni Čot.
- From Crveni Čot, the route descends via Bešenovački Road to Široke Ledine, where it joins Desanka Maksimović Street to Mala Remeta.
- In Mala Remeta, Pinkijeva Street will be closed to the intersection leading to Jazak, then Cara Uroša Street and Partizanska Street to Nova Kolonija in Vrdnik.
- Railway Street through Vrdnik to the traffic lights, where Vojvođanske Brigade Street will be closed, which later leads to Rivica via road 313.
- In Rivica, Maršala Tita Street and road 313 will be closed all the way to Irig, where upon entering Irig, Vojvode Putnika Street will be closed and further through the entire Irig, Ive Lole Ribara Street, Kralja Petra Street, and road 21 to Iriški Venac.
- From Iriški Venac, traffic will be closed in two directions. The first direction is a left turn, the ridge road leading across the Zmajevac intersection to Crveni Čot, from where it again joins the closed section descending via Fruškogorski Road towards Beočin, then joins road 119 and Novosadska Street around Beočin, and roads 119 and 107 from Beočin to Rakovac.
- In Rakovac, Ledinački Road will be closed, which goes through Ledinci into Karađorđeva Street, Zmaj Jova Square, Vojvode Putnika Street, Kamenički Road through Sremska Kamenica towards Novi Sad and Duga Bridge.
- After Duga Bridge, traffic will be closed on Mihajlo Pupin Boulevard all the way to the Provincial Government.
- The second direction that will be closed from Iriški Venac is the descent to Paragovo and Paragovački Road, which joins Karađorđeva Street in Sremska Kamenica, Zmaj Jova Square, Vojvode Putnika Street, Kamenički Road in Sremska Kamenica, Duga Bridge, and Mihajlo Pupin Boulevard.
We kindly ask all citizens and visitors to plan their activities in advance and use alternative routes during the specified period.
